Evening or weekend classes on a
particular theme are available by request for groups of a
minimum of five people. Special lectures or dinners with wine
tasting can also be arranged and are offered to the public
throughout the year.
Special wine tasting sessions
can be planned on request for individuals and groups. Other
activities of CIDD include open houses with producers, wine
discovery evenings, lectures and tastings with producers, and
wine country tours. There are 12 courses offered in English,
ranging from The Mechanics and Principles of Tasting to
Champagne and Sparkling Wines, for beginning to advanced
levels.

The Maison de la Vigne rents
space in an elegant 19th-century Hôtel Particulier near the
Champs-Elysées to groups of amateurs or professionals and
La Maison de la Vigne et du Vin can organize a wine tasting
course for groups of 10 to 50 people, the price depending on
the theme, number of people, etc. Groups of 5 to 15 can have a
30 to 45 minute initiation to wine tasting in the boutique.

The Wine Museum, located in the
miraculously preserved vaulted cellars of the 14th-century
Abbey of Passy, offers a wine course every Saturday from
10:00am to noon. Part theory and part tasting, classes
usually focus on one particular wine region. The museum
displays centuries-old tools of the trade brought to life by
wax figures and represent all stages in the life of wine.

with prior arrangements, tours and tastings in English can be

destined to amateurs and professionals. The teacher
is Jean Bellard, former writer of the Hachette guide to
Loire wines. Half-day tasting lesson for up to 20
people. One-day lesson on harmonizing wine and
